Samsung Galaxy F15

Samsung Galaxy F15 5G With Big Battery Backup

Samsung Galaxy F15 will be the most sold phone in the budget range in 2024. I have the black color of this phone but it doesn’t look black. The frame is completely black but the back panel is a little royal blue, dark blue. About the weight balancing, this is a 220 gram phone. You will feel that this phone is a little heavy. You will feel like you are holding a solid brick. But you won’t have any problem. It has Gorilla Glass 5. I didn’t find any issues with the built-in design. It is a little heavy but I didn’t find any issues with the weight balancing. You can use it for a long time.

Samsung Galaxy F15 Review

Samsung Galaxy F15 Display

You get a Super AMOLED display with a 6.5-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. If you are using a Samsung phone then you won’t have any problem. Because you get a U-shaped notch. You also get some bezels at the bottom. But if you are shifting from a Chinese phone then you might feel that you don’t like the notch. You might feel that the bezels are too much. But the phone quality, it is amazing. It has a Super AMOLED display with vivid colors. You can watch videos at a resolution of 1440p on YouTube. So I don’t think that you will have any problem with multimedia consumption. You can enjoy movies and do your browsing work. You won’t have any issues with the display. So I will give it 5 out of 5 points.

Samsung Galaxy F15 Performance

It has MediaTek Dimensity 6100+. It has the same processor in A15. It costs around Rs.19,000. But you get the same performance at Rs.14,500. The Antutu score is around Rs.3,70,000. But it is less than F14. I was a bit shocked. It should have been at least Rs.4,00,000. I found the throttle test decent. The graph is smooth. There are no deviations. Talking about gaming, I played Genshin Impact. It was running in low settings. But the phone was heating up. It was the only game where I felt the heating. But if you play Asphalt, Call of Duty, BGMI, PUBG, you won’t have any issues. The phone will work well. You feel the jitteriness only in one position. When you open and close the recent tab. Rest, you won’t have any issue.

I will recommend you to buy the 6GB RAM version. Because in 2024, 4GB RAM will be very less. But remember, this is not a gaming phone. You can play games in this. But it will give you a good UI experience with Samsung One UI 6.1 latest. It has a single speaker. I did not face any problem in the network test. The signal strength is good. It is between minus 50dBm to minus 70dBm in my area.

Samsung Galaxy F15 Camera

You get a 50MP primary, 5MP ultrawide, 2MP macro lens and a 13MP selfie camera. I felt that the phone was trying to smooth the selfies. I felt some issues in the detailing. But in the rear camera, when you click a photo from 50MP to 12MP, there are no issues. In the video recording, you get support up to Full HD. Whether it is front or back. Full HD is not even 30FPS 60FPS so forget about 4K recording. In Full HD, you get an option up to 30FPS. It is a good thing that it has all the internal features like night mode, food mode, pro mode, slow motion, hyperlapse. All the features that Samsung used to give in F13, F14, they have given in F15.

So overall, if I conclude the camera, I feel that the front camera could have been better. The rear camera is very good. In video recording, you get support up to Full HD. So if you are thinking that you can do a good video recording with this, then you might have to be disappointed. But if you don’t care about video recording, If you just do casual photography, then you will literally like this camera.

Samsung Galaxy F15 Battery

It has a 6000 mAh battery. I tested it on Wi-Fi, the SOT is going up to 18-19 hours. You can watch YouTube content for 12 hours. You can binge watch and the battery will drain up to 50-55%. F15 has given one of the best battery backups in recent times. Now the reason behind this is, It has a 90Hz refresh rate. But still, giving 16-17 hours of screen time. If you charge it with a 25W charger, It will take around 1 hour 40 minutes. But if you charge it with a normal 15W charger, It will take around 2.5 hours to charge. Because it has a 6000mAh battery, so it will take time.

Samsung Galaxy F15 OS

Here you get One UI 6.1 out of the box. After the S24 series, this phone directly costs Rs 14,500. Samsung has promised 4 years of updates. Android 14 is out of the box so you will get Android 15, 16, 17, 18. If you have used F14 or M14, then in more connected devices  like continuous apps and other devices, Multi-control, Music share, Auto switch buds were not there. Galaxy wearable smart things were also added. You will not face any problem in terms of features. You do not get a screen recorder. So if you need to use a lot of screen recorder inbuilt, you have to keep this in mind before buying this phone. But in spite of all this, you get complete support for a good lock. So you can run good lock modules in this. If I talk about the software update experience, I did not face any problem in this. I felt a little jitteriness in opening and closing the recent apps. But apart from this, I found its software experience to be quite decent.

Conclusion

After investing Rs 14,500, I definitely recommend Samsung Galaxy F15. You can also get some performance related issues in it. In the starting days, until the update comes in. Because it gives you a good display, It has a refresh rate of 90Hz. You get an amazing battery in it. It is also good in terms of build and design. If I talk about the camera, If you don’t like to click only photos, especially from the rear camera, then you will like it a lot. But if you want to do video recording, you can do that to a decent level.
