Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G Review

Infinix Note 40 Pro Unboxing

If you open the box, you will get three things. First of all, you will get a Mag pad, Mag power and in the middle, there is a green box of Infinix Note 40 pro. There is a specification written on the top. You will get some specifications on the back as well. As soon as you open it, there is a phone on the top. You will get a type C charging cable. You will get a 45W charger from Infinix. Apart from that, you will get a case. Along with that, you will get some paper works and some stickers. You will get a curved display screen protector. It is not a protector, it is a tempered glass. So, Infinix has launched its Infinix Note 40 Pro for Rs 20,000 ( $289 In USA) . Because this is a smartphone that supports wireless charging. The company has launched its wireless charger. You will get a Mag pad, which is a wireless charger. And you will get a Mag power, which is a wireless charging power bank. Both of them work in a very good way.

Infinix Note 40 Pro Design

This is the same design as the previous smartphone in the Infinix Zero series. At the back, you will get a green material in the leather finish. It will definitely have a premium feel. This time, you will get a weight of 196 grams. But this is a slim device. It is not too wide or too long. So, you can use it very comfortably. Even from the back, the design looks amazing. I will give it 10 out of 10 marks. They have done a great job.

The highlight of this phone is the wireless charging. The back has a 20W wireless charging. You can charge it on this wireless charging pad. The cover comes with a magnetic charging bag. If you put this cover on your phone, and then put the MagSafe charger on it, it will stick magnetically to your phone. And you can charge it wirelessly. You also get reverse wireless charging. You also get wired charging.

Infinix Note 40 Pro Battery

It comes with a 70W charging and 5000mAh battery. There is a higher variant with a 100W charging. But the battery is 4600mAh. You will get this at a very good price point. It is light, the battery is big, the charging is also good.

Infinix Note 40 Pro Display

You get a 6.78-inch 10-bit full HD plus panel in Infinix Note 40 Pro. There is a 55-inch curvature panel. If I talk about the colors, normally if you watch YouTube or OTT content, you will find colors on the punchier side. It is a little vibrant here. But the quality of Deep Black is good. It is a 10-bit display with good sharpness. So you will easily enjoy the content here. Now, the first thing I noticed in the display is that if you go to run 4K HDR video, it runs with a little shutter lag. You will get a little lag there. But I noticed one more interesting thing. When I went to run 4K HDR video without HDR, I could only see support up to Max 2K. I don’t know what kind of bug it is. In 4K HDR video, you can see 4K HDR. But if I want to run it, it will shift to 480p. In normal 4K video without HDR, you don’t get 4K support. So you will see this little thing here. You can run OTT content in Widevine L1, that is, in full HD. But you won’t get HDR support there. One good thing is that it has Gorilla Glass 5. You get protection in it. It has a peak brightness of 1300 nits in outdoor brightness.

There will be no problem in outdoor visibility. Phone will be unlocked quickly with the help of an in-display fingerprint scanner. They have tuned their dual speakers with JBL. It gives a great bass and music. But if you use it without a cover, you will feel a little vibration in the back. You will also get 5G connectivity. But yes, you can’t put the micro SD card slot in it. You get dual SIM support, NFC support and IR blaster support. So you can also use it as a remote. But the IP rating is IP54.

Infinix Note 40 Pro OS

Android 14 comes out of the box. The company promises 2 plus 3 years of update. There were very few pre-installed applications. I mean, there are less than 1+ pre-installed applications. Yes, their own applications will be available. But none of them have given me a notification. I found that very interesting. There was only one application installed, which is Facebook. They have gone to the cleaner with the promise of no ads and no unnecessary uploads. If you go to the settings, you can customize the lock screen. In customization, there is wallpaper, always-on display, full dynamic bar, floating window, game mode, dual app, lock app, you will be able to do everything in it. In the back, you will get halo-holo lighting. It is small and comes in different colors. You can customize it for different notifications and music. Basically, it will be more useful for notifications. It glows up a little. It is not that bright and more visible in low light.

Infinix Note 40 Pro Performance

It has Mediatek Dimensity 7020 chipset which is based on 6nm. It comes with UFS 2.2 storage. Read and write speed is decent. On-web scores are also decent. You will not get very good scores in it. The chipset is better than the one in the price range. It starts with 8GB and 256GB base variants. It is for day-to-day usage. You will not get much trouble in it. Small and big applications will open easily. You will not see any lagging scenes. You will get a lot of animations which will point towards a smoother UI. But if you go to heavier applications then it takes time in opening. Like Jio cinema, camera applications are on a heavier side. But you will get good memory management. RAM is also big. So you will get smoother performance. I have not seen any lagging in normal users. Shutter lags are also present in UI. You can play games with 40 FPS. You can see FPS drops. TDM was also not smooth so forget about heavy. If you do editing in KineMaster then it will bring you extreme level performance.

Infinix Note 40 Pro Camera

Infinix Note 40 Pro has a 108MP main camera sensor and comes with OIS. You will not get any ultrawide camera. You will get a 2MP camera. Selfie camera is 32MP. You will get many features in this camera. You can record upto 2K. In a little dark environment, there is harsh lighting in the back. For a more stable video, you have to switch to Full HD video recording. In that, I think a more stable video comes out. Overall, there is not much problem in video recording but yes, the stabilization does not come out so well here. The good thing is that the front selfie camera can also do video recording up to 2K.

Conclusion

So, overall, Infinix has given a lot of good things. Wireless charging has been done. They have given a lot of effects but I have felt a little compromise in performance and camera. There, a little improvement could have been done. Rest, if you want a phone to do normal tasks then Infinix Note 40 Pro is very good with wireless charging, you can easily use it. You can enjoy it.
